BiVits® ACTIVA ACTIVE® Iron Booster, 20 capsules

BiVits^® ACTIVA ACTIVE^®  Iron Booster Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP). Use under medical supervision. For the dietary management of iron deficiency or conditions with increased iron requirements. Provides highly bioavailable ferrous sulphate in a protein-based matrix, designed to be gentle on the stomach.

BiVits^® ACTIVA ACTIVE^®  Iron Booster benefits:
• Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and to normal oxygen transport in the body.
• Iron contributes to normal cognitive function, normal energy-yielding metabolism, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
• Iron contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Ingredients:

Ferrous sulphate; capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose; colours: calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, chlorophyllin; acidity regulators: sodium acetate, acetic acid; antioxidant: ascorbic acid; emulsifier: polysorbate.

Directions:

Adults and adolescents 13+ years to take one capsule daily with water or juice, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Typical duration 3–6 months; consider checking iron status after ~3 months.

Warnings:

Use under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use. Keep out of the reach of children. Take separately from tea, coffee, milk, eggs, whole-grain cereals and high-fibre foods (take iron 1 hour before or 2 hours after). Separate from tetracyclines and antacids. Oral iron may affect absorption of certain antibiotics, calcium/zinc/phosphate products, levothyroxine, methyldopa, levodopa, penicillamine—seek professional advice. May darken stools (harmless).
