BiVits® ACTIVA Actifolic
BiVits® ACTIVA Actifolic is a food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP). Use under medical supervision.
For the dietary management of conditions with increased folate requirement or impaired folate status. Each tablet provides 800 µg 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (6S-5-MTHF, glucosamine salt) which is the biologically active form of folate.
Intended use:
Indications for dietary management (as assessed by a healthcare professional):
• Pre-conception and early pregnancy where folate demand is increased
• Inadequate dietary intake or drug-induced impairment of folate utilisation/metabolism
• Elevated homocysteine
• Chronic haemolytic states or patients on haemodialysis
• Individuals with reduced MTHFR activity
Directions:
Adults to take one tablet daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Swallow with water.
Warnings:
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist. Use under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use. Keep out of the reach of children.
Ingredients:
6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid (glucosamine salt); bulking agents: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch; anti-caking agent: magnesium stearate.
